Welcome To Memorial Presbyterian Church
In 1948 a group of Presbyterians in Fredericksburg decided to ask First Presbyterian Church of
Kerrville to sponsor them as a mission Church. The first worship service was conducted on
January 26, 1948. The first Church School classes were held on June 27, 1948. The Memorial
Presbyterian Women were organized in September, 1948. From that charter group of 53 members,
Memorial has grown to just under 200 members.
Memorial Presbyterian Church is a member of Mission Presbytery, Synod of the Sun, and the
Presbyterian Church(USA). We like to think of ourselves as a vibrant, dedicated and
compassionate congregation actively involved in spreading the good news of the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. We hope that you will find our ministry exciting, our worship meaningful, our sermons
uplifting, our music inspiring and our congregation outgoing and caring.
